The name derives from the Greek νέμεσις (némesis), νέμω (némō, "to distribute"), from the Indo-European root nem- in Greek mythology, and was the name of the goddess "Distribution of Justice". Nemesis provided above all for the justice of unsolved or unpunished crimes, distributing and inflicting joy or pain according to what was just, especially persecuting the wicked and those ungrateful to fate. Similarly, the Nemesys project sets itself the arduous task of trying to balance the natural harmony that is missing in the current computer market, where the big crushes the small to perpetuate the "single thought", depriving it of a valid alternative.

We believe in providing our customers with a well-tested and long-lasting product. The latest cases of malfunctions with "brand" computers using some 13th and 14th generation Intel CPUs are proof that even the most prestigious brands can make mistakes. We also select our components based on their real performance and not just because they have a certain registration number.

The uniqueness of Nemesys OS resides in its simplicity. It is an intuitive, ready to use and high performance system made to exactly fit the provided hardware. Neither special configurations nor programs tweaking is required. It simply runs natively, as it should be.

Almost any software available for Windows and Linux can run in Nemesys OS. However, there are some exceptions: some due to hardware limitations, some others depend on missing proprietary libraries we cannot include into the system. The latter problem can be solved with a "workaround" in most of the cases (we usually make a tutorial on how to do it).

Absolutely. There could not be a better way to start using a real computer than having "the best from two worlds". Moreover, the safety and ease of recovery of this system also allows you to make some "serious mistakes", without the danger of terribly (and sometimes irreparably) damaging your computer.

Sure. As developers we made this system for ourselves first of all. With this OS you can save a lot of time by using any app available regardless of the system it was designed for. This includes "old but always good" apps the newer systems do not support, without wasting time creating and tuning "virtual machines" or the need for using old computers for that purpose. Not only this. As an expert you can enjoy some special features like "running/installing Linux apps in userspace" or develop and test your code in several environments at once just to name a few.
